I have a 2007 Hp Pavilion DV9500 Laptop. The Driver for my CD/DVD drive is missing. How can I fix that?

First off let me start with I have tryed going to the HP website. I really dont understand what it is I need. When I put a disk in the tray my computer says to insert a disk. With a little digging I found a message that said I had no driver. I went to the HP website I really dont even know what it is I am looking for. I put in all the info and it came up with a list of drivers for the the whole computer. I tried the program that came with the computer to restore the driver that didnt work. Just dont know what else to do. And really dont want to have to buy a new computer. Thanks for your help
