Pet rabbit going to a sanctuary?

Unfortunately, I'm moving and can't take my rabbit with me. Luckily, he was accepted a lovely sanctuary, where he will live in an outdoor enclosure. He has never been caged or confined to a hutch (he is accustomed to being free range (within a large enclosed area). At the sanctuary, he will live with other rabbit and be free to build burrow. Being that he currently lives on a concrete slab, will he know how? I see him "digging" at things, but I don't know if burrow-making is innate.
