Can't get my cleaning agent to work in my power craft water pressure sprayer. Help.?

I'm trying to clean green muck of the outside of my house walls. Added the cleaner agent to the bottle on my sprayer, but it is not drawing. From the filter inside the bottle there is a plastic tube going into the sprayer, but, I can see nothing in it as it is not drawing. Why? Help please, am very frustrated.
