Should I quit football?

Im 16 years old, going to be a junior. I'll be the starting fullback at my high school this year. Only thing is, I don't want to play football anymore, I never enjoyed the sport and I only play it because my dad wants me too and i don't want to upset him. I don't mind all the work and stuff I just plain don't enjoy the sport. My love is in the woods, not on the field. I want to have my own hobbies, not my fathers.I have told my dad that i want to quit but he never listens. Should I quit? Thanks
